A Mother of a Hike...

Kris is a con-artist...
Okay,

Maybe not a con-artist,
but he can talk me into
anything!

On this particular occasion it was going on a hike.

In my mind it was going to be a nice easy, look at the fall leaves hike.
Maybe three hours tops!

I should have known better when he handed me the poles!

6 HOURS LATER....
*I had climbed straight up boulders...then straight down boulders
* I was so tired I felt like crying
* I was as hungry as a bear....and turning into one :)
* I had blisters
* I had a close call with a rattlesnake..yes, we saw a rattler!
* I ate 8 cliff shot blocks (ewe!)....
because Mr. Kris forced them down my throat.
You have to eat these so you keep up your strength he says!
Why couldn't I have eaten a sandwhich?
oh wait, we didn't pack any!

But all in all,
I am so glad Kris dragged me up there.
It is actually a fun trip
( IN HIND-SITE)

The leaves were so beautiful,
just makes me love Utah all the more!

We had some great conversations about life,
our future...our family we hope to have one day!

I told him how my Dad would make us
suck on rocks when we hiked as little kids.
My dad always thought it helped us not drink up so much water...lol
Mr. Kris didn't believe me and had to call Mr. Garth W.
to receive confirmation this was true!

Now every time I look up at Mt. Olympus I can say
"I hiked you!"
and I probably never will do it again!
lol

Did I mention the amazing Tuck came...

Welp,
he did and isn't he the cutest dog ever?

Wow, I would have never lasted!! Remember next time you run into a rattlesnake, you can eat it, tastes like chicken :) You and your Mr. Kris look so Happy! Love you!

WOW, I would call him a con-artist :) I am very impressed, I don't think I could have done that! The leaves and scenery were beautiful though!

Caleb's dad made them suck on rocks too! That is hilarious. And I think Caleb and Kris must be related, usually we are told, "the book I read said this was moderate-easy..." then when we get home "...oh I guess it says very difficult." Good memories at least.
