We did it!

Kris and I finished the Marathon....TOGETHER! I think I am more shocked than anyone. Kris had caught a cold two days before, not to mention he had not ran for nearly 7 weeks due to an injury. I had mentally accepted the fact that my Kris wouldn't be crossing the finish line with me even though I had imagined it in my head over and over.
During the first mile of the race Kris had to stop and stretch twice. People were running by looking at us like what are you two doing? The stretching paid off though. He was able to finish! I am so proud of him, not to mention I am jealous of his ability to run a marathon after the lack of training he had. There is no way I could have pulled that off.
Now our time? Does that really matter? All that matters is that we finished lol! Well for those who are dying to know, we did finish under 5 hours. Not the time we had wanted to run it in when we registered for the race, but under the circumstances we were mighty pleased!

P.S. I got my dream finish! lol
