I am sure every once in awhile whenever I do a HART post for Africa someone is like "Oh no, here we go again!!!" but I SeRiOuSlY want to THANK everyone who has been supportive of us from people at my work dealing with my crazy schedule, family, friends driving to events and strangers who have given money and adivse and becoming dear friends....
THANK YOU!!!!!
I am getting emotional as I type this and can already feel the tears welling up in my eyes so if I have multiple typing errors you know why :).
At the 5k event we hosted this past Saturday I was AMAZED at all who came to support us. I were so nervous that we were not going to get a good turn out. As I admired the massive crowd of over 100 people I truly believe in the humanitarian effort with everything inside me.....as the runners checked out our table display and learned more about what we are about they left believing in it as well and that to me was the best part about it!!!

When this whole humanitarian project began, I had no idea what it would grow to be. It has been SUCH A BLESSING to be a part of it and see all the goodness people have inside of them. We have been able to witness so many amazing things in the 8 months we have been preparing this mission. I am overwhelmed at how it has touched me.
It has been INCREDIBLE seeing those who have no money to spare donate, observing the mass amounts of materials people have given and witnessing the end product of all we have collected that has brought me to this overwhelming state. We packed every square inch of 2 massive P.O.D.S full of medical supplies, hygiene product, clothing, school supplies and building materials all donated. To think in less than a week when we arrive in Kakamega, Kenya and it not be there could be devastating. We still are unaware if the materials will arrive in time. We are so thankful for all your prayers and those who fasted with us for their on-time arrival.......please keep praying. If we arrive in Kenya with no P.O.D.S. the medical team will still do what they can with the supplies the Kenya clinic has available. We will still do what we can for the people in the village and serve them in whatever way possible.........but it will be painfully sad to not have the supplies we had gathered and put together and shipped in the P.O.D.S.

As I am packing my bags and preparing to leave in a few days I cannot believe the time has past so quickly. I am excited, nervous, anxious, SAD my Mr. Kris isn't leaving the same day I am.... and worried all in one....is that even possible? I honestly can't even believe it is almost time to leave!!!!
